CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE
I had a vision- Best of eye care to the poorest of the poor, even at the remotest place. The Globe Eye Foundation was conceived to realize that vision. The GEF Eye Hospital at Hosakote, built from ground zero, was an important milestone on the path to our goal. We have been able to improve and expand our services to the community significantly. It is our dream at Globe Eye Foundation to cover all districts of Karnataka with our Eye care service network. We remember all our donors with a profound sense of gratitude. In 2009 we were joined in our endeavour by the members of the C P Bothra Trust with the promise to spur on our efforts towards our goal In 2014 we revived a non-functional eye hospital in Chintamani, which is now functioning as Lions GEF Eye Hospital, our second hospital.
In 2015, as a joint project with Rotary Bangalore Indira Nagar, Bangalore and Rotary International, we established our third eye hospital, GEF Netradeep Eye Hospital, at Kolar . We plan to start GEF Eye Hospitals in Tumkur and Mandya very soon. We have pledged ourselves to provide eye care facilities to all and will strive to reach our far and beyond till we achieve our goal!
PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
Dear members of Globe Eye Foundation well-wishers and visitors, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to the GEF Institute of Optometry website. I am honoured and feel very privileged to be the Principal of GEF Institute of Optometry.
We at this institute are passionate about learning. A learning institute that is dynamic with a positive learning environment for all our students. We impact a very practical way of learning approach, where all students are exposed to practical optometry right from day 1 along with theory as well.
We have dedicated faculty, we mould our students to be self-confident and face various challenges with courage, conviction and success.
We are a non-profit organisation so all financial surplus is reinvested in the education of students.
We have many successful stories from our past batches. Some at good jobs, some at good institutes, some entrepreneurs and so on.
I take this opportunity to acknowledge the extreme hard work of our dedicated staff and faculty by working round the clock to keep the Optometry college and Hospital at the peak of success.
Parents play a vital role in the overall development of the child this institute success depends on the cooperation between the students, staff and parents.
I wish our students all success in their endeavours.
